9th January 2:00 – 4:30: Today we welcome Hayden Luke who will be giving an illustrated talk on Fairlight Artists and Writers.
Competition Theme: “Beach scene”

13th February 2:00 – 4:30: Oil pastel demonstration by Stephen Cheeseman.
Stephen paints a variety of subjects in oil pastes which allows him to create a sensation of movement.
Competition Theme: “Movement”

12th March 2:00 – 4:30: English landscape with a wintry theme. Watercolour demonstration with Jackie Hurwood.
Jackie has taught watercolours for many years at South Downs college. She prefers to paint naturalistically, landscapes, flowers and still life.
Competition Theme: “Jack Frost”

9th April 10:30 – 3:30: Workshop with Mark Fisher. Painting Cityscape with a limited palette in Acrylics.
Mark will also demonstrate the above in watercolour if required.
Competition Theme: “Architecture”

14th May 2:00 – 4:30: Charcoal demonstration with Helen Taylor.
Helen is a very talented artist from Dungeness, who will inspire.
Competition Theme: “Any subject in charcoal”

11th June 2:00 – 4:30: Monoprinting demonstration with Sarah Flack.
Sarah, who has an MA in printmaking, will be demonstrating the process of monoprinting – each monoprint is unique and cannot be repeated.
Competition Theme: Monochrome painting, any subject.

9th July 2:00 – 4:30: Pastel Portraits with Juliette Dodd.
Juliette is an accomplished portrait artist who makes the whole process appear so simple.
Competition Theme: Portrait, any medium.

10th September 10:30 – 3:30: Workshop with SAA artist Ann Fairchild. Chinese Brush Painting.
(Please wear painting clothes; bring water, jars & kitchen rolls. All other equipment is provided, but if you have any Chinese brushes/equipment bring them along to try out).
Competition Theme: “Oriental”

8th October 2:00 – 4:30: Beach scenes in acrylics demonstration with artist and illustrator Gill Toft.
Competition Theme: “Hastings Fishing Industry”

12th November 2:00 – 4:30: A.G.M. including annual club painting competition (any subject, any medium) and the Betty Muffitt Award – subject “British landscapes in watercolour”.
